The Haflinger horse race

Easter Monday

The Haflinger horse race traditionally takes place on Easter Monday at the Meran racecourse. At 10 in the morning, all participants – both two and four-legged – start parading from the town centre to the racecourse, while the race takes place in the afternoon. A varied fringe programme ensures fun and excitement for the whole family.

From its humble beginnings as a small-town event over ten years ago, AsfaltArt has evolved into a major street art festival. Every year in early June, scores of artists and art groups breathe new life into the old town of Merano, showing off their skills in acrobatics, clowning, stage magic and more with over 200 performances to impress and amaze onlookers of all age groups – an absolute highlight.
